A first-of-its-kind digital Ramleela featuring 108 women performers will be inaugurated by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini at 8 pm on Sunday at Chinar Homes, Peer Muchalla.
Organised by Divyavista under its ‘Jadon Se Judo’ initiative, the production aims to promote Indian culture, family values and women’s empowerment through an online broadcast accessible to audiences in India and abroad.
The performers have spent two months preparing for the production, which will present the story of Lord Ram through an all-women cast.
Organisers Arun Sood and Ekta Nagpal have appealed to people to be part of the event. They said the online telecast would enable viewers across the world to watch the performance and experience the Ram Katha.
The initiative combines a cultural presentation with a focus on women’s participation, while the digital format is expected to extend its reach beyond the venue.
